Kazakhstan moves a January holiday for New Year 2025
Tengrinews.kz – The Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of Kazakhstan has issued an order to adjust the holiday schedule in January 2025, allowing for an extended New Year break.
According to the order, the holiday originally scheduled for Sunday, January 5, 2025, will be moved to Friday, January 3, 2025.

Five-day workweek: Citizens will enjoy a four-day New Year holiday from January 1 to 4, 2025.
Six-day workweek: The New Year holiday will last from January 1 to 3, 2025.
The Ministry explained that this adjustment optimizes work schedules while ensuring citizens can fully enjoy the festive season.
In December 2024, citizens on a five-day workweek will also benefit from 10 days off, including a three-day break for Independence Day on December 14, 15, and 16, read here.
