Century Aluminum posts $56.1M loss, vows to fight for Mount Holly plant

Century Aluminum Co. on Thursday reported a steep loss as cheap exports from China have depressed worldwide prices, yet the company vowed to continue efforts to keep its Berkeley County smelter open beyond a Dec. 31 contract deadline with its electricity provider.
