There is certainly something to be admired in Peter Molyneux's commitment to infinitely overpromising right through to what is meant to be his final game, Masters of Albion. I'm not saying I admire it, but someone might. And while I truly have no horse in the race regarding the quality, or potential lack thereof, in Masters of Albion, its latest gameplay trailer certainly does at least suggest it'll be a true as it can be Molyneux game.

Venezuela's lawmakers postpone final debate on amnesty bill to address sticking points

Venezuela’s ruling party lawmakers have debated an amnesty bill that could free hundreds of people held for political reasons. On Thursday, parliament approved parts of the measure but paused the session over key disputes. The debate is expected to resume next week. Lawmakers argue about whether people who fled the country to avoid arrest can also get amnesty. The draft covers alleged crimes linked to political conflict since 1999, including unrest tied to the 2024 election. Rights groups say more than 600 people remain detained.

Deaths in Iran's crackdown on protests reach more than 7,000, activists say

Activists say the death toll from a crackdown over Iran’s nationwide protests has reached at least 7,002 with many more people still feared dead. The U.S.-based Human Rights Activists News Agency offered the latest figures Thursday. It has been accurate in counting deaths during previous rounds of unrest in Iran and relies on a network of activists in Iran to verify deaths.
