There were 3 or 4 players remonstrating with the ref too. One of them (I think it was Doyle) was going mad and pointing directly at Crookes to the ref but he just arrogantly waved him away and walked off. He’d been so atrocious by then I think they just gave up with him. Absolutely scandalous officiating. I was keeping tabs on all their bookings 2nd half hoping it would even up and as soon as Crookes made that foul and the ref got his card out we were all celebrating by me expecting Crookes to get the 2nd yellow.
