The East African nations have long struggled to compete with the major continental powers and both face early elimination from this AFCON in decisive group games on Tuesday. Uganda face Nigeria and Tanzania meet Tunisia with both the Cranes and the Taifa Stars almost certainly need wins to have a chance of making the last 16.
