Boy George is sharing a message for Chappell Roan after her recent viral encounter in Paris.

The 64-year-old entertainer took to social media to talk about dealing with fame after the 28-year-old singer’s latest paparazzi encounter at Paris Fashion Week, where she called out photographers once again.

It’s probably not helpful but I have been doing this fame thing for a while and you learn slowly and painfully that you don’t get a free pass once you turn yourself into a bird of paradise,” George wrote on Twitter/X. “I watched @ChappellRoan filming the paps in Paris and I laughed because I have kicked off at them many times. The trick is to own your fame.”

He continued, “yes, it’s annoying at times but so is being ignored and told your a ‘has-been. Life is always now and I think Chappell looks great but cheer up girl. The world is at your feet stop kicking it! It takes so much more time to say no to a picture or a signature. Boundaries are boring. Break them with the magic of kindness!”

Chappell is, of course, no stranger to calling out photographers, having done so on red carpets in the past, calling for more respect towards artists and others.

She also used her celebrity to address more issues in entertainment and the world at large.
