'Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man' Takes Over La Liga in Unprecedented Netflix Collab
Netflix is pulling out all the stops to promote the highly anticipated streaming release of Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man, even taking the action into the world of live sports. This comes after the streaming giant struck a deal with La Liga club Atletico Madrid that brings Birmingham gangsters to a Spanish football pitch. While Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man made its theatrical debut on March 6, 2026, Netflix has a trick up its sleeve before the film moves to its service on March 20.
Before Atletico's March 14 match against Getafe at the Metropolitano Stadium, flatcap-wearing actors dressed as Peaky Blinders will escort players onto the field "to ensure their safety." However, the collaboration doesn't stop there. As the two sides are going all-out for the unique promo.
Atletico Players Get Peaky Blinders Treatment Ahead of Getafe Match
Among the other noteworthy impacts of the Peaky Blinders collab, Atletico’s stadium will feature a full recreation of the Garrison Tavern, the series's iconic pub, complete with a 1930s Birmingham barbershop and actors handing out newspapers and flatcaps to fans.
Fans attending the match will receive free flatcaps and newspapers styled like those from 1940s Birmingham, while stadium screens, the PA system, and the sky ribbon will all feature Peaky Blinders branding throughout the game.

According to The Athletic, Netflix and Atletico Madrid signed a one-off promotional deal that transforms the March 14 La Liga fixture into a full-blown Peaky Blinders experience. Antoine Griezmann, captain Koke, Ademola Lookman, Alexander Sorloth, and Jose Maria Gimenez will all walk onto the pitch accompanied by extras dressed in the signature flatcaps and three-piece suits of the Birmingham gang. The actors, styled to look like members of the Shelby crew, will "escort" the players for their "safety.”
This isn't Atletico's first rodeo with streaming service collaborations. Last summer, Griezmann, Koke, and Marcos Llorente teamed up with Disney+ to become chefs for the day, promoting the new season of The Bear. But the Peaky Blinders partnership takes things to another level entirely.
Cillian Murphy's Final Chapter as Tommy Shelby Arrives on Netflix March 20
Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man marks Cillian Murphy's final performance as Tommy Shelby after playing the character across six seasons from 2013-2022. Set in 1940 during World War II, the film follows Tommy, who emerges from self-imposed exile to confront his estranged son, Duke (Barry Keoghan), who's become embroiled in a Nazi plot. The 1-hour, 52-minute film premiered at Birmingham's Symphony Hall on March 2 and hit select theaters March 6 before arriving on Netflix March 20. Murphy told Netflix that "it seems like Tommy Shelby wasn't finished with me," adding, "This is one for the fans."
The cast includes returning favorites like Sophie Rundle, Stephen Graham, Packy Lee, and Ned Dennehy, alongside newcomers Rebecca Ferguson and Tim Roth. Created by Steven Knight and directed by Tom Harper (Wild Rose, Heart of Stone), the film features a haunting soundtrack from Fontaines D.C. frontman Grian Chatten, who composed the track "Puppet" heard throughout the trailer.
While this is Murphy's final outing as Tommy, Knight is already developing two new seasons of Peaky Blinders for Netflix and BBC, set in the 1950s with a new generation of the Shelby family taking center stage. Murphy will serve as a producer on the spinoff series.
