BJP ridicules Tamil Nadu CM Stalin's saffron remark, says DMK aligned with it in 1999

The Tamil Nadu BJP criticised Chief Minister M K Stalin for accusing the party of trying to “saffronise” the state, saying it was former CM M Karunanidhi who aligned with the BJP-led NDA in 1999. BJP spokesperson Narayanan Thirupathy said the DMK itself had joined the NDA government under Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
