Popular Netflix Thriller Renewed For Brand New Season

0

Netflix's The Night Agent will be returning for its fourth season, Deadline reports.

The show, which stars Gabriel Basso as an FBI agent investigating corruption in the White House, has been renewed for another batch of episodes that will film in Los Angeles.

What Is The Night Agent Season 4 About?

"It’s been a wild ride filming The Night Agent in five countries across three continents to this point and we’re so thrilled that the adventures of Peter Sutherland will continue into Season 4," showrunner Shawn Ryan teased in an official statement.

"Our writers, our cast and our crew stand ready to answer the call to bring our incredible fans even more twists, turns and thrills.”

There has been no official confirmation about what The Night Agent's plot will look like in the future, but the previous season ended with one of the show's biggest twists—Peter exposing the corruption of President Hagan but escaping jail through a lucky self-pardon.

Although viewership figures were slightly down for The Night Agent's most recent season, Netflix decided to order to renewal regardless due to the streamer's confidence in the project improving with each season.

When Will The Night Agent Season 4 Come Out?

Deadline reports that season 4 of The Night Agent will start filming in May, meaning audiences should expect to see it some point in 2027. Netflix is reportedly aiming for a release date in the first half of the year to capitalize on the show's popularity.

In an interview back in February, Shawn Ryan teased some interesting plot details about the upcoming season. "[The season takes place in] a world that is present in Los Angeles, it’s not present in New York for the most part; there’s something in the Los Angeles region that exists at a much bigger level than New York.”

He also confirmed that "there is no international location planned at the beginning of Season 4," breaking the show's ongoing tradition. Finally, Ryan teased "a new character that we’ve never met before," who is reportedly going to be Peter's new partner.
