CISF to get power to initiate legal action against illegal coal mining

The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) is set to gain enhanced powers to combat illegal coal mining nationwide. Following amendments to the Mines and Minerals Act, CISF will be authorized to initiate legal proceedings, mirroring the Railway Protection Force's authority.
