The head of Alibaba Group’s Qwen AI model division, Lin Junyang, said he would step down, days after updated products were released. In a post on X, he wrote “Bye my beloved Qwen” without further explanation. The ⁠jump came after Chinese tech giants launched aggressive campaigns to draw more ​users to their apps during the Lunar New Year holidays.
