Read this article this morning generally on set pieces and agree with pretty much every word. Everything about set pieces piss me off. The sheer amount of time to restart the game, the taker always cheating on the location of the set piece, the tactical blocking which makes it look more like an NFL game at times. The pulling, pushing, goalkeepers getting impeded….its anti football and I’m sick of it.
Remember when European refs used to give fouls if someone went within a yard of the keeper? Go back to that. Get the beautiful game game back and away from the set piece coaches who just want to the ball dropped into the six yard box with 12 players competing
