Mayberry Scores 25 Points on Senior Day Win over Auburn

FAYETTEVILLE – Arkansas women’s basketball (12-19, 1-15 SEC) snapped its 16-game losing streak with a 70-41 win over Auburn (14-16, 3-13 SEC) in the regular season finale at Bud Walton Arena.

Senior guard Wyvette Mayberry led all scorers with a season-high 25 points on 7-12 shooting from the field and 6-8 from three-point land.

The win also marked head coach Kelsi Musick’s first conference win as Arkansas’ head coach.

First Quarter – 20-10

  • Arkansas controlled the tip and Taleyah Jones got fouled on her made layup but missed the free throw to start the game.
  • Wyvette Mayberry hit the Hogs’ first three of the game to put the Hogs up 11-6 midway through the first quarter.
  • Emily Robinson followed it up with her first to make it 14-6.
  • Ashlynn Charlson picked up her second foul at the 4:04 mark and sat for the remainder of the half.
  • Mayberry led the Hogs with five points in the first.
  • Arkansas was 9-17 (53%) to start the game.

Second Quarter – 29-17

  • Auburn started the quarter with a travel.
  • Both teams were scoreless until Mayberry hit her second three-pointer at the 6:58 mark. Arkansas missed its first four shots.
  • The Hogs led by 12 points, their largest lead of SEC play to this point.
  • Both teams combined for six points at the halfway point.
  • Arkansas forced a shot clock violation at the 4:04 mark.
  • Robinson hit her second three to put the Hogs up 12 with under 30 seconds left in the half.
  • Both teams were held under 10 points in the quarter. Arkansas had nine to Auburn’s seven.
  • The Razorbacks’ 12 point lead at halftime was their first of SEC lead of SEC play.

Third Quarter – 50-31

  • Auburn opened the half with a layup from Khady Leye. Arkansas traveled on its first possession.
  • The Hogs were held scoreless for the first 3:05 until Mayberry hit a pair of free throws.
  • The Tigers went on a three-plus-minute scoring drought into the media timeout and Arkansas led by 14 with 6:00 left in the quarter.
  • Auburn’s A’riel Jackson committed a flagrant one foul on Taleyah Jones and Jones hit both free throws to put Arkansas up 16 points.
  • Mayberry hit her third three-pointer and Jones made a layup to put the Hogs on a 9-0 run and up 22 points with under three minutes in the quarter.
  • The Razorbacks outscored Auburn 21-14 in the third and led by 19. Jones led the way with 11 points.

Fourth Quarter – 70-41

  • Mayberry had Arkansas’ first points of the quarter, a pair of free throws.
  • The Hogs led 60-34 at the media timeout.
  • The Razorbacks made four threes in the quarter, three from Mayberry and one from Jones.

Game Notes

  • Arkansas won it’s first game since December 20, 2025 against Stephen F. Austin and its first SEC game since March 2, 2025 at Texas A&M.
  • Mayberry surpassed the 1,500 career points mark with her second three-pointer of the game in the second quarter.
  • Mayberry led all scorers with 25 points, one shy of her career high, and hit a career-high six three-pointers, the most by a Razorback in a game this season.
  • The Hogs led wire-to-wire and were up by as many as 30 points late in the fourth quarter.
  • Auburn shot just 28.8% (17-59) from the field and was 1-20 from beyond the arc.
  • Prior to today’s game, Arkansas was 0-16 when outrebounded. The Tigers won the boards battle 40-39. Deas led all rebounders with 11.
