Middle East airports closed and thousands of travelers stranded after attack on Iran
The attack on Iran by the U.S. and Israel has disrupted flights across the Middle East and beyond. Countries around the region closed their airspace. Emirates Airlines has suspended all flights to and from Dubai until at least Sunday afternoon. The Qatar airport has closed until at least Monday morning. Israeli airspace also remains closed Sunday. Hundreds of thousands of travelers were either stranded or diverted to other airports after Israel, Qatar, Syria, Iran, Iraq, Kuwait and Bahrain closed their airspaces. More than 1,800 flights by major Middle Eastern airlines have been canceled.
