Israel refuses to release body of ex-soldier who died in administrative detention

Hassan Kashallah, a resident of Rahat, was arrested after the Shin Bet claimed he was a member of ISIS – an allegation he denied. He was held in detention despite warnings that he was in danger due to being a discharged soldier imprisoned with security prisoners and that he was not receiving required medical treatment. The state is also refusing to release his body for burial
