SER commits to road overbridges in Jamshedpur; Proposed changes highlight lengthening train delays and traffic conflicts

South Eastern Railways will replace two busy level crossings near Jamshedpur with road overbridges, fully funding the project. This move aims to resolve long-standing operational issues and enhance safety on the critical Howrah-Mumbai route. The decision follows concerns raised about train speed and accident risks. Another ROB at Pursudih is also being considered.
