Taylor Swift Takes Fans Behind the Scenes of Her 'Opalite' Music Video: Easter Eggs You Might Have Missed!
Taylor Swift is explaining all the details and easter eggs fans might have missed in her “Opalite” music video!
The 36-year-old singer shared a new extended music video on Spotify, Apple Music, Tidal, and Amazon Music that includes all kinds of behind-the-scenes goodies, per E! News.
She revealed that the entire idea came together during the October episode when she was a guest on The Graham Norton Show alongside stars Jodie Turner-Smith, Domhnall Gleeson, Cillian Murphy, Greta Lee, and Lewis Capaldi.

Domnhall was the one who mentioned wanting to be in one of Taylor‘s music videos, giving her the idea to invite them all to be part of it.
She directed the music video alongside her cinematographer Rodrigo Prieto and they really leaned into word “Opalite” sounding commercial-like. It becomes one of two products featured.
“Opalite is for people who want to choose a path that serves them,” she says, then adding that its reverse, “Nope-Alite,” is for those who “choose to be unhealed.”
“In our metaphor, inanimate objects represent the kind of toxic relationship they’re in. I’m best friends with this rock, who is always weighing me down,” she said. “Domhnall—he’s in a toxic relationship with a cactus, where he’s getting hurt every day.”
Then there’s a moment where we see Greta‘s character performing on TV in a bar, which Taylor said was to “mirror an MTV concert program.”
The About Time star’s “Lonely Man” character and Taylor‘s “Lonely Woman” soon begin a romance together after spraying themselves with Opalite.
They do a photo shoot together at the mall, which introduces Lewis‘ character.
“I think I have a knack for capturing people’s essence,” Lewis shared in the extended video. “I think Taylor, in the short amount of time we’ve spent together in the past, she’s noticed that about me. I’ve been destined to be behind the camera and it feels right.”
