Malaysia's economy grows 5.2 pct on year in 2025

KUALA LUMPUR, Feb. 13 (Xinhua) -- The Malaysian economy grew 5.2 percent year on year in 2025 with strong domestic demand and favorable exports, exceeding the official forecast of 4 percent to 4.8 percent, its central bank said Friday.

Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) said in a statement that for the fourth quarter of 2025, Malaysia's economy advanced by 6.3 percent, driven mainly by domestic demand.
