Kerala HC grants anticipatory bail to expelled Congress MLA in first of 3 sexual assault cases

The Kerala High Court has granted anticipatory bail to expelled Congress MLA Rahul Mamkootathil in a rape and forced abortion case. Justice Kauser Edappagath provided the relief after the Palakkad MLA challenged a previous Sessions Court decision. Mamkootathil has been protected from arrest in this case since December 6, 2025.
