Tottenham Hotspur fans will be pleased to know that Xavi Simons is immersing himself in the club’s history and learning about Spurs’ traditions.
Xavi Simons has undoubtedly turned a corner after a difficult start to life in the Premier League following his big-money summer move from RB Leipzig to Tottenham.
The 22-year-old has been getting better and better with each outing, and his performance against Man City was arguably his best one in a Tottenham Hotspur shirt so far.
Thomas Frank praised Xavi for the ‘fight’ he has been showing of late, admitting that the attacking midfielder has taken ‘some big steps’ in recent weeks.
Tottenham star Xavi Simons wants to learn about Chas & Dave
It appears that the former RB Leipzig man is trying to learn about the club’s traditions in his spare time, as evidenced by his most recent question on social media.
Xavi asked ‘Who is Chas & Dave’ on his Instagram, referring to the legendary English pop rock duo, who were die-hard Tottenham fans and made multiple songs involving the Lilywhites back in the early 1980s.
Spurs fans on social media are very pleased to learn that their newest potential superstar is now digging into Chas & Dave.
Xavi has already spent time with two modern-day Spurs legends
Even when his performances at the start of the season were found a little wanting, the Netherlands international was still immersing himself in the history of Tottenham and the local area.
Back in November, Simons did a special segment on Sky Sports with two former captains, Ledley King and Michael Dawson.
The two Tottenham legends showed the newcomer around the area and educated him on some of the club’s recent history.
