Suto: A Dream Start
Hibernian debutant Ante Šuto describes his last-minute winner against Dundee United as a "dream start" and is already looking forward to our Edinburgh Derby clash next week!
Martin Boyle had put Hibs in front in the first 45 before United clawed back two goals from two corners to turn the game on its head.
Elie Youan was at hand to turn in from close range to dramatically put the game level heading into stoppage-time and, following our equaliser, Hibs pushed hard for a winner and found it through Šuto in memorable fashion.
The striker leapt highest in the box to excellently divert Nicky Cadden's free-kick delivery, with Easter Road bursting into great celebrations as the new Hibee hero's header looped into the top corner.
Speaking to Hibs TV after the match, the Croatian-Australian forward revealed his delight at making an instant impact on his first outing in green and white.
"I feel amazing. I couldn't dream of a better start. First game, first win in front of the home fans, it's great.
"We showed after we were down 2-1, we showed that we play until the end. We give our best, so we are happy with the three points, with the win.
"And it's my debut, so it's even more amazing. I don't know what I was thinking. But you saw my celebration, you saw what it means to me. It's a dream start.
"I'm very much looking forward to it. When I was coming here, the fans sent me messages about that game, how important it is.
"I know what the game means to all the fans. So we will give our best and try to win the game."
