Seven architecture and design events in February from Dezeen Events Guide
Zsonamaco, Stockholm Creative Editions and Madrid Design Festival are among the architecture and design events featured in Dezeen Events Guide this month.
Other events taking place in February include Melbourne Art Week, Collect, Surface Design Show and Ambiente.
Surface Design Show
3 to 5 February, UK
Surfaces, finishes and materials trade show Surface Design Show returns to London's Business Design Centre in February, hosting a three-day event with an exhibition and talks programme.
The showcase follows the theme Material Evolution, reassessing the importance of "newness" in the industry, while highlighting recycled and reused materials.
Stockholm Creative Editions
3 to 7 February, Sweden
Design festival Stockholm Creative Editions takes place this year in February, running during the period when Stockholm Design Week usually takes place.
The festival hosts a range of events, spotlighting furniture, textiles, lighting, art and craft over five days.
Also taking place during the week is a series of open showrooms, collectively known as Stockholm Design Days.
Zsonamaco
4 to 8 February, Mexico
The 22nd edition of art and design fair Zsonamaco takes place in 2026, located at Centro Banamex in Mexico City.
The fair comprises four sections: contemporary and modern art and design, antiques and photography. The exhibitions include design objects, furniture, textiles, jewellery, paintings and sculptures.
Madrid Design Festival
5 to 8 February, Spain
Redesigning the world is the theme of the latest iteration of Madrid Design Festival, asking participants to consider four elements of design: responsibility, transcendence, impact and transmission.
The festival will host installations, exhibitions, workshops, open showrooms, talks, pop-up shops and fairs, including the Forma Design Fair.
Ambiente
6 to 10 February, Germany
Messe Frankfurt is once again the venue for Ambiente, the consumer goods trade show for the interiors, dining, kitchen and workspace industries.
Planned for the latest edition are the Hospitality Academy, Hotelier's Day and the Interior Design and Architecture Hub.
Melbourne Art Fair
19 to 22 February, Australia
Melbourne Art Fair highlights art and design from more than 150 established and emerging creatives and 50 galleries and indigenous-owned art centres.
The fair's programme includes the Beyond, Project Rooms and Video segments, displaying installations, collectable design, architecture projects and crafts.
The event takes place at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre.
Collect
26 February to 1 March, UK
Located at Somerset House, the Craft Council presents art, design and craft fair Collect to welcome around 40 global galleries.
A range of disciplines are explored over four days, such as metal, glass and woodwork, ceramics, jewellery, textiles, furniture and sculpture.
