Popular California Ski Resort Reveals Steep Midweek Lift Ticket Discounts

A California ski area is launching a program that offers discounted lift tickets—and gives back to the local community. 

On select Wednesdays in February and March, Palisades Tahoe will be holding Community Days. 

Palisades' Community Days will celebrate the perks of mid-week skiing, like fewer crowds and more open slopes, by offering $89 lift tickets. That's far lower than the sticker price of standard Palisades tickets, which crest $100 or $200, depending on the day.

Community Days are currently scheduled to take place on February 4, 11, and 25 and March 4, 2026. The discounted lift tickets can be purchased online or in person.

A portion of the proceeds from these discounted lift tickets will also be donated to a local charity or nonprofit. 

Currently, Palisades has the Sierra Community House named for donation on their website.

Sierra Community House provides hunger relief services, victim support, legal assistance, family support, and community and violence prevention education to the greater North Tahoe and Truckee area.

“Midweek skiing is one of the best ways to experience Palisades Tahoe,” said Patrick Lacey, PR manager of Palisades Tahoe, in a press release. “Community Days make it even better by pairing discounted access with a chance to give back to the community that makes this place so special.” 

Palisades Tahoe is also offering several other lift ticket deals, which, in the age of mega-passes like the Ikon Pass, can be a sweet deal. 

A 4-Day midweek pack allows folks to ski for just $109 per day and also includes 4 midweek 50% vouchers and two transferable 25% off window-rate Friends and Family tickets. 

Skiers also have the option to ride any day of the week with Palisades' 4-Day Unrestricted Pack for just $135 a day or any two days with the 2-Day Unrestricted Pack for $195/day. The 4-Day Unrestricted Pack also includes 4 bonus 50% off vouchers and two transferable 25% off window-rate Friends and Family tickets.
