Teen’s car was in San Francisco; she is still missing

The car of a missing 17-year-old was spotted in San Francisco, but the girl still hasn’t been found after almost three weeks.

Sara Gene Keene left her home in the Mendocino County community of Philo around 11 a.m. on Jan. 2. She had reportedly talked of visiting a friend in San Francisco, and she disappeared after failing to get the permission of her foster parents, the Mendocino County sheriff’s office said.

The same day, her car — a white 2013 Acura TSX four-door sedan with California license plate 9UYY222 — was detected by automatic license plate readers in San Francisco, about 120 miles away, according to the sheriff’s office.

Sara reportedly turned off the location on her cell phone after leaving home and has not contacted her foster parents.

She is described as 4 feet 11 inches tall, weighing 115 pounds, with blond hair and blue eyes.
