Electronics manufacturing leads PLI scheme as production jumps 146%: Report

Electronics manufacturing, particularly mobile phones, has seen a significant surge under the PLI scheme, with production rising 146% to Rs 5.45 lakh crore by FY25, aided by substantial FDI. While total budgetary outlay is Rs 1.97 lakh crore, disbursements have been picking up, reaching Rs 10,112 crore in FY25 and projected to increase further.
