“Got more metal in me,” he wrote in the caption. “I’ll need to get to airports even earlier to get through security! Lol.”
The photo shows him smiling as he relaxes against some cushions. His arm is supported by a black sling and wrapped in medical bandages with what appears to be a compression wrap and gauze. Christopher gave the camera a thumbs up.
While he doesn’t detail what happened in the post itself, he did go into more detail in the comments section.
In response to one person asking about what happened, he said, “thousands of baseballs footballs and casting for fish! Sports as a kid catching up with me.”
To someone else, he detailed the series of surgeries he’s had over the years, including “the shoulder last year, 3 knee, artificial disc and fusion in my back and now a metal elbow.”
Despite all of this, Christopher says he’s planning a trip to Australia to “shoot a sizzle with Craig Bennett for a show concept.”
NBC Today anchor Savannah Guthrie underwent surgery recently, too. She shared a health update earlier this week.
