Heavy snowfall in France causes widespread transport disruption
Much public transport has ground to a halt after several areas in France were hit by a heavy snowfall on January 7. Forty percent of flights were cancelled in Paris' main airport Charle de Gaulle, and 25% in its southern airport Orly. While the French capital could get 7 cm of snow, the northeast region of the Ardennes is expecting up to 15 cm.
