TUMS Came Up with a Way to Play Catch and Fight Heartburn at the Same Time
Nobody wants to get heartburn. Not only does it sound terrible, it actually is a pretty bad experience.
Well, TUMS has come up with a way to make getting over it a little more fun just in time for the NFL playoffs, Super Bowl, March Madness, and other big sporting events coming up to start 2026.
Sling That Thing
If you suffer heartburn while watching sports (or any other time, of course), TUMS wants to make it easier to share relief by putting a new twist on their long-time “Pass the TUMS” slogan.
Now, actually passing those little chewables is easier than ever thanks to a football-shaped delivery case called the Burn Ball.
Billed as “the most aerodynamic TUMS case ever created, the Burn Ball is made to be passed, thrown and cracked open when heartburn strikes because it actually comes with a bottle of TUMS Chewy Bites inside.
It is available for purchase, in what TUMS describes as “a limited run” via TUMSshop.com.
You Can Join In and Win
Tums is also holding a giveaway to go along with the promotion.
With the hashtag #PassTheTUMSSweepstakes on Instagram, TikTok and YouTube, fans who show how they pass the Tums (and follow the TUMSofficial account on Instagram and TikTok) will be eligible to win $5,000 or a $50 UberEats gift card.

It runs from Jan. 9-25.
More Promotional Activities
TUMS also has also enlisted Eric Decker, a creator who goes by @Airrack on YouTube, to help pass the word about passing the TUMS like Josh Allen or Aaron Rodgers.
Decker is encouraging fans to use creative trick passes for their entries in the PassTheTUMS sweepstakes.
"I'm all about bringing people together through never-before-seen challenges that push the limits, and as a football and food fan, partnering with TUMS to inspire 'Pass the TUMS' was a perfect fit," Decker said in a press release. "Friends don't let friends put up with heartburn, especially ahead of and during the Big Game, so I'm stoked to see how everyone puts their spin on passing the TUMS."
What is Heartburn?
Despite the name, heartburn does not actually involve that particular organ.
According to the Cleveland Clinic, it is caused by stomach acid rising into the esophagus, which runs through the chest by the heart.
Coffee, chocolate, citrus fruits, mint, and tomato sauce are among the foods associated with causing i,t along with any rich or acidic meals.
Antacid medicines such as TUMS Gummy Bites can provide multi-symptom relief, including heartburn, sour stomach, acid indigestion and upset stomach by neutralizing stomach acid so it isn’t as corrosive to the esophagus (where it isn’t supposed to be).
