'Final Fantasy 14' Major New Update Releases Tomorrow

0

Final Fantasy 14Dawntrail had a rocky start, with some fans disappointed by the latest expansion's main story. However, Patch 7.4's release back in December set the game up for improvements in 2026, and tomorrow, a long-awaited addition will be added.

The Savage tier of the latest Raid series, called The Arcadion: Heavyweight (Savage), will finally be released tomorrow, January 6. Developer Square Enix previously announced in its Patch 7.4 notes that the Savage fights would not release in December due to the holiday season, creating a slightly longer delay between Raid fights than normal.

The Savage fights are estimated to be available in the game at around 8 a.m. ET/5 a.m. PT on January 6, according to the Patch 7.4 notes.

The Savage tier will consist of four fights, which will all be against previous opponents in the Heavyweight tier: Vamp Fatale, the Xtremes, the Tyrant, and Lindwurm. However, the Savage fights will add new mechanics to the battles. The Savage-level content is usually the most challenging in Final Fantasy 14 outside the Ultimate raids.

Players will need their gear average item level of at least 760 to access the first Savage fight. Players will also need to have completed the normal versions of these fights to access the Savage fights and then speak to Gabbro in Solution Nine to unlock the Savage battles.

Completing the fights will allow players to obtain the best gear currently available in Final Fantasy 14, but the fights must be completed several times due to a loot limit in place upon release, which will only allow players to get one piece of gear per week.

It is also generally recommended to use the in-game Party Finder application to find players to tackle the fights with, or find consistent groups on Discord or other social media platforms, as the Savage fights traditionally take several days to clear, due to their difficulty and players having to figure out how the mechanics of each fight work.
