Dolphins place TE Darren Waller on injured reserve

The Miami Dolphins placed veteran tight end Darren Waller (groin) on injured reserve on Friday ahead of their season finale against the New England Patriots.

Waller, 33, came out of retirement this season to join the Dolphins and played in nine games (three starts), catching 24 of 34 targets for 283 yards and six touchdowns. He had an earlier stint on injured reserve
