Car catches fire in Yeroskipou

A car caught fire shortly before midnight on Thursday in the Paphos district village of Yeroskipou, fire brigade spokesman Andreas Kettis said on Friday.

The fire brigade was informed of the fire at 11.57pm, with a fire engine being deployed to see to the incident.

Kettis said the car suffered “extensive damage” to its engine compartment and to its interior, and that an investigation into the cause of the fire will be launched in due course.
