Assam STF busts IMK module: ‘Purva Akash’ social media used for recruitment; promotes violent Jihad, armed conquest of India

Assam Police STF has busted an Imam Mahmuder Kafila (IMK) module, an offshoot of Bangladesh-based JMB, arresting 11 individuals for fundamentalist activities. The group, which expanded its base in Assam after Bangladesh's August 2024 regime change, used encrypted social media to radicalize youths, raise funds, and facilitate cross-border travel for training.
