Five-star Blair Academy guard Deron Rippey Jr. commits to Duke

Five-star Blair Academy guard Deron Rippey Jr. has made his college announcement.

The 6-foot-2 Rippey Jr., the No. 2 point guard in the Class of 2026 per 247Sports.com, announced for Duke on Tuesday over N.C. State, Miami, Tennessee and Texas.

“The Brotherhood was the spot for me because I want to play at the highest levels,” he said on the CBS Sports livestream. “That’s always been my dream. When it comes to Division I basketball, I want to go to a school that has a chance to compete for a national championship, and I want to be an immediate impact, a part of that.”
