Vittoria Ceretti Is Quietly Defying Leonardo DiCaprio's Alleged Dating 'Rule' — And Their Rare PDA Says It All

Any discussion of Leonardo DiCaprio’s dating life usually involves his alleged age cap on his girlfriends — no one over 25 — but Vittoria Ceretti might be breaking all the rules.

The 51-year-old Oscar winner and his 27-year-old supermodel girlfriend were spotted engaging in some rare PDA while on a shopping excursion in Los Angeles on December 26. (You can see the images here.) That unexpected intimacy in a public setting might indicate that Ceretti is defying the reported rules defined by DiCaprio’s dating era.

A Hollywood insider told The Sun in October that he’s more “carefree” with the fashion icon in his life. They explained how her career had shaped their relationship, which was different from his prior romances.

“Vittoria’s quite different to the other girls he’s been with,” the source said. “She was harder to impress; she’s very Italian and has high expectations. Immediately she struck up a strong bond with his mother, plus she is very in demand – she’s the one with the full diary and jet-set life, not just following him around.”

He has previously dated other models, including Gisele Bündchen, Gigi Hadid, and Camila Morrone, all of whom have had successful careers. However, it appears that Ceretti is leading the charge in their relationship.

In Vogue France‘s April 2025 issue, Ceretti didn’t mention DiCaprio by name, but she did give some insight into their relationship, noting that it wasn’t a walk in the park to date someone “very, very famous.”

“As soon as you’re in a relationship with someone who has a larger following than you, you become ‘girlfriend of’—or ‘boyfriend of,’ for that matter. And that can be extremely annoying,” Ceretti shared.

“Suddenly, people are talking about you as so-and-so’s girlfriend who was so-and-so’s ex. So it’s not nice to think that you can’t love whoever you want, because of the labels people need to stick on you.”

The dynamic duo began dating in the summer of 2023, right around the time DiCaprio’s casual fling with Hadid fizzled out. It reportedly took a serious turn by that fall, with the Daily Mail describing the One Battle After Another star as “besotted” by Ceretti. It also started the marriage buzz, even though a proposal hasn’t come to fruition.

“It has obviously led to much chatter within his circle that Leo is ready to hang up his lothario ways,” an insider told the outlet. “There have been many women pictured with him, partying with him, but what he has with Vittoria is much more serious.”

While DiCaprio doesn’t seem to have marriage on his bucket list, Ceretti certainly has won his heart.
