Ben-Gvir pushes bill to restrict Muslim call to prayer

Israel’s far-right minister Itamar Ben-Gvir advanced a bill to restrict the Muslim call to prayer by imposing heavy fines and allowing police to confiscate mosque loudspeakers. Palestinian groups condemned the move, linking it to his repeated provocations at al-Aqsa Mosque and other extremist proposals, including executing Palestinian prisoners and building a prison “surrounded by crocodiles.”
