Elephant carcass found in Kandhamal

A tusker's carcass was discovered near Jharapani in Kandhamal district. Forest officials have ruled out poaching as both tusks were intact, suspecting disease or electrocution as the cause of death. An autopsy is pending to confirm the exact reason for the elephant's demise. The lone tusker was found near a migrating herd.
