LeBron James’ historic streak comes to an end
BY ALEJANDRO LOPEZ
One of basketball’s longest streaks came to an end on Thursday.
Lebron James’ 1,297 game streak of scoring at least 10 points in a game ended with an 8-point performance against the Toronto Raptors.
Fittingly, James passed up a shot to keep his historic streak alive in favor of passing to a wide open teammate in the corner which led to a buzzer beating basket to win the game.
The last time James ended an NBA game with less than 10 points was Jan. 6, 2007, about six months before the release of the first IPhone.
Only 24 players in the history of the NBA have manage to play in 1,297 games, much less score double digits in them.
Records are meant to be broken, but it will certainly be a very long time before the world sees anyone even come close to this remarkable streak.
