New Labour Codes are set to increase gratuity payouts for many employees by redefining 'wage' to include allowances exceeding 50% of total payment. This change prevents employers from artificially lowering basic pay to reduce gratuity. Eligibility for fixed-term and contract workers has also been reduced to one year.
