David Pastrnak Expects Bruins’ All-Czech Line To Be ‘Much Better’
Boston Bruins star David Pastrnak is expecting the all-Czech line to be much better going forward.
Bruins head coach Marco Sturm shuffled up the lines and put Pastrnak alongside his fellow countrymen in Matěj Blümel and Pavel Zacha. The line had chances against the Anaheim Ducks, but David Pastrnak expects them to be much better on Sunday against the San Jose Sharks.
“He’s an awesome kid,” Pastrnak said of Blümel after practice on Saturday. “Really humble and a great kid. He makes it easy to like him and be around him. Very positive guy.
“We feel like we have much better in us. It was the first game with (Blümel), and even with Pav, it has been a while. I would expect much better from us.”
Although the line didn’t have a goal together, they did have success, and Pastrnak believes the chemistry is there.
Blümel, meanwhile, said it was surreal to play on the Bruins’ top line alongside Pastrnak and Zacha.
”It is so cool,” Blümel said. “When I signed here, it was kind of my wish to suit up for a game with those two.”
The Bruins will return to the ice on Sunday at 8 p.m. ET against the Sharks. Boston is off to a 13-10-0 start and is holding onto a Wild Card spot.
