New Delhi: During the Asia Cup Rising Stars clash in Doha, Qatar, on Sunday, between India A and Pakistan A, spinner Saad Masood gave India A batter Naman Dhir an aggressive send-off. The incident occurred after Masood dismissed Dhir on the fourth ball of the ninth over. On the earlier delivery, Dhir had paddle-swept the leg-spinner for a boundary towards fine leg, but he ended up mistiming the next ball, sending it to extra cover, where Pakistan A captain Irfan Khan completed a simple catch.
An animated Masood was seen gesturing towards the dugout, signaling Dhir to leave, but the batter stayed silent and walked off the field quietly.
Earlier, Irfan won the toss and chose to field first at the West End Park International Cricket Stadium in Doha. India and Pakistan emerged victories in their Group B opening matches, defeating the UAE and Oman, respectively.

Against the UAE, young sensation Vaibhav Suryavanshi smashed the joint second fastest century by an Indian batter in T20 cricket, off just 32 deliveries.
The 14-year-old opener smashed 15 sixes and 11 fours to score 144 off 42 balls, matching the record of India wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant, who had scored a 32-ball century for Delhi against Himachal Pradesh in 2018.
His impressive batting helped India A to post a massive total of 297/4 in 20 overs in which skipper Jitesh Sharma also contributed a 32-ball 83 which included eight boundaries and six sixes.

The fastest T20 century by an Indian batter is jointly held by Indian opener and world No. 1 T20I batter Abhishek Sharma and Gujarat’s Urvil Patel, both of whom scored 28-ball hundreds in the 2024-25 Syed Mushtaq Ali T20 Trophy.
Suryavanshi made his IPL debut last season, already holds the record for the second-fastest century in the tournament, having scored 101 off 38 balls for Rajasthan Royals against Gujarat Titans.
