Truck crash in South Korea market kills 2 people and injures 18, officials say
Two people were killed and 18 others were injured when a truck plowed into pedestrians at an outdoor market in South Korea’s Bucheon city. Officials say the driver was not under the influence of alcohol or drugs at the time of the incident Thursday in Bucheon, located near the capital city of Seoul. Police are questioning the unidentified truck driver in his 60s. An official at Bucheon’s fire station says witnesses have told investigators the vehicle initially reversed about 28 meters before driving forward 150 meters, hitting pedestrians on the way. Officials have removed the vehicle from the scene to investigate the crash.
