Jana Kramer Explains Why Alex Dupre Was Missing From the 'One Tree Hill' Finale
Jana Kramer is looking back at her time on the long-running CW drama One Tree Hill to reflect on why her character Alex Dupre wasn’t present in the series finale despite being a series regular.
The 41-year-old singer opened up about not being there in the end during the Drama Queens podcast wrap party held on November 1.

“I was told by my label, I couldn’t finish the show,” she revealed, via People. “I had to go radio tour.”
Jana found it frustrating that male artists were seemingly allowed more flexibility.
“The men were able to do [both],” she said. “I’m like, but he’s doing that and he’s doing that.”
The former Dancing with the Stars competitor joined the show during its seventh season and remained until season nine, but then departed early when her character left to go on tour.
Ultimately she says it worked out and “everything’s fine,” but she was still “so disappointed” not to finish the final season of One Tree Hill.
