We'll (hopefully) be moving house this winter. The next one doesnt have cavity wall insulation and the Mrs (who feels the cold) is concerned the place will loose heat.

From doing some research it sounds like having it added can cause damp issues so does anyone have any experience with getting cavity wall insulation and the differences before vs after?

Be very careful and prior to moving have any property that doesn’t meet the “Minimum Energy Efficiency Standards” (MEES) properly surveyed as it can cause problems if installed in unsuitable properties or by unqualified installers.

For me only a Level 3 building survey will do.
Costs between £250-£300 but worth every penny.
