Firm to design
Hub bike route
The town has selected a firm to design a better bike passage through the Hub.
Cyclists riding through the area have to use a convoluted mix of bike routes and side streets, according to a report by Scott Schneider, the assistant public works director. A proposed alternative would let cyclists ride through the Creek Park parking lot.
The town asked for proposals from three firms, received two applications and chose Parametrix. On Tuesday, the Town Council approved a contract for $158,183.
“The design work is expected to take four to six months, and includes two public meetings,” Schneider wrote. “The completed design will be brought back to the Town Council for their approval in spring 2026 for summer 2026 construction if construction funding is identified.”
Funding for the design work itself is available through Measure B revenues from the Transportation Authority of Marin.

The council authorized the contract at its meeting on Tuesday. The work is expected to start in the spring and take about 45 days, according to a city staff report.

Construction plan
approved by board
The Larkspur Planning Commission has approved a proposal to demolish the home at 80 La Cuesta Ave. and build a new one.
The property has a 3,188-square-foot house and a swimming pool, according to a report by Alex Othon, a city planner. The owners want to construct a house of about 5,600 square feet and a new pool, and place an accessory dwelling unit in the lower level. The project requires a variance to extend the garage into the 15-foot front setback.
The commission approved the plan during a hearing on Tuesday.
