Man allegedly attacks woman, 71, and boy, 10, over skateboard in NYC: NYPD

CHINATOWN, Manhattan (PIX11) – A man is accused of attacking a 71-year-old woman and a 10-year-old boy over a skateboard in Chinatown on Oct. 19, according to the NYPD.

Police said it happened at East Broadway and Market Street around 7:30 a.m. The victims were crossing the street when the boy’s skateboard tapped 50-year-old Li Dong, according to authorities.

Police said an argument broke out, which is when Dong allegedly punched both in their faces. The woman suffered a cut to her lip and the boy had pain and swelling to his face, according to authorities.

Dong was arrested on Friday and charged with assault and endangering the welfare of a child.
