TOPEKA (KSNT) - A new American-Chinese restaurant is set to open soon in north Topeka, marking the installment of a second location from a popular restaurant chain in the Capital City.

A new Panda Express has slowly taken shape in north Topeka at 801 NW 25th St. across the street from a Sonic Drive-In and a Spangles. Now, the business is almost ready to open its doors to the public for the first time.

A Panda Express spokesperson told 27 News a soft opening for the new location is scheduled for Halloween Day on Friday, Oct. 31. An official grand opening celebration will follow in the early days of November that will include a donation to a local food bank alongside a t-shirt giveaway for the first 88 customers.

Topeka has one other Panda Express location open currently. This can be found at 1920 SW Wanamaker Road, Suite 160.

Customers can expect to find American-Chinese food at Panda Express restaurants. People can buy plates, bowls and more which feature food like chow mein, fried rice, mushroom chicken, grilled teriyaki and kung pao chicken.
