To the editor: Stop out of control federal debt

The flow of life in our country is being disrupted by the government shutdown. From flight cancellations and delays to furloughed federal employees of various agencies including military personnel, the far reaching effects of this legislative impasse will impact Americans beyond immediate short-term effects.
