PHOTOS: Signs from ‘No Kings’ protests across Southern California

0

The second national “No Kings” Day took place on Saturday, Oct. 18. Thousands gathered across Southern California to protest President Donald Trump’s policies since his return to office at the beginning of the year. Over 2,600 rallies were held across the country, including dozens throughout Los Angeles, Orange County and the Inland Empire.

The protest also happened on day 18 of the government shutdown, after Republicans and Democrats failed to resolve a budget dispute for the 2026 fiscal year. It becomes the third longest government shutdown in U.S. history, with the longest government shutdown taking place during Trump’s first term and lasting 35 days.

The first No Kings protest took place earlier this year on June 14, where many across the nation partook in protests against Trump’s policies. The protest happened on Trump’s 79th birthday as well as the U.S. Army’s 250th Anniversary parade in Washington, D.C.

Here’s a look at what the “No Kings” protests looked like on Saturday, Oct. 18 in Downtown Los Angeles, Pasadena, Long Beach, Orange County, Rancho Cucamonga and other parts of Southern California.
