Authorities are investigating the death of a rail conductor who was hit by a passing train in Montana. The National Transportation Safety Board said in a social media post on X that the conductor worked for BNSF Railway. The company operates one of the largest freight railway networks in the United States. The incident occurred at about 9:40 a.m. Sunday in Columbus, a town southwest of Billings. A BNSF spokesperson said the company was referring all questions to the NTSB.
