President Trump will present a posthumous Medal of Freedom to conservative activist Charlie Kirk in a ceremony at the White House on Tuesday afternoon.

Trump said on Truth Social on Tuesday that the ceremony would be held in the Rose Garden due to the "big and enthusiastic" crowd expected to attend.

Kirk, a leading voice in the MAGA movement, was shot and killed at Utah Valley University while speaking to a large crowd during an event billed as “The American Comeback Tour.”

Erika Kirk, Charlie Kirk's widow, has since taken over as CEO of Turning Point USA, the group Charlie Kirk founded and led.
